How this calculator works
Bars stop at the entered edge clearance on each side. The bar count treats spacing as a maximum, so the last interval can be shorter. Cutting allowance is added to total linear length before the stock-length count is rounded up; this simplified estimate does not optimize cuts or account for laps.
Measurement and ordering notes
Measure the inside of the forms and check depth in several places. Volume estimates include the selected waste allowance when shown. Bag yields, aggregate density, concrete weight, prices, and site conditions vary by product and supplier.
Material and cost estimates
Optional material breakdowns use clearly stated planning assumptions. Cost results use the price you enter and do not automatically include delivery, pumping, labor, tax, minimum loads, or equipment.
Frequently asked questions
Does the tool design reinforcement?
No. It only gives a rough quantity or spacing calculation from your inputs.
Are laps and cover included?
No. Use approved drawings for bar size, laps, cover, supports, and spacing.
Can I use this for structural approval?
No. Confirm reinforcement with the responsible designer or qualified professional.
